Co-ordinate the programs of the Chemometrics Committee

Responsibilities

• Chair annual committee meeting at JSM
• Attend SPES Executive Committee Meeting at JSM
• Obtain funding for Statistics in Chemistry Award
• Give Statistics in Chemistry Award at annual JSM
• Co-ordinate and appoint chair for the Statistics in Chemistry Award Subcommittee
• Co-ordinate and appoint chair for the Program Subcommittee
• Write column for SPES/Q&P Newsletter

Qualifications

• Member of ASA-SPES
• Interest in Chemometrics

• August - October - Liaison with Program Subcommittee chair on the creation of an invited paper session for the next JSM
• November - June - Liaison with Awards Subcommittee chair on the status and makeup of committee, number of papers submitted, etc.
• August - Sign award certificates at the JSM; give awards prior to the Presidential Address at JSM
