Mary Natrella Scholarship

The Mary G. and Joseph Natrella Scholarship will support participation of two students at the 2006 Joint Research Conference on Statistics in Quality, Industry, and Technology.  The scholarship is presented annually by the Quality and Productivity Section to honor the distinguished career of Mary G. Natrella, author of the well-known NBS/NIST handbook, Experimental Statistics. Winners of the scholarship receive a $2000 grant, complimentary registration for the conference, a $400 stipend towards travel and housing expenses, and an opportunity to present their research work at the conference.  Application is open to full-time students who are currently pursuing a master's or doctoral degree in an accredited college or university, and who have a demonstrated interest in applications of statistics to quality and productivity.  The application deadline is April 3, 2006.  Further information about the scholarship and application forms can be found at http://www.amstat-online.org/sections/qp/Natrella_Scholarship.html , or can be obtained by contacting Keith Eberhardt, keith.eberhardt@kraft.com
