Status: - Jeff Hooper has sent all necessary information to LeRoy and Geoff, and has asked Rob Easterling to coordinate

on this issue with LeRoy and Geoff at the Annual meeting. If this issue is on the COS agenda as requested, LeRoy and Geoff will have to brief the Q&P Section COS rep on this issue and perhaps participate in the COS discussion on this issue.

Eastman Chem - Angie Neff, contacted, some questions returned, Jeff H. will respond, unlikely sponsor, Angie will contact Geoff Vining because of Vtech interest in sponsoring to see if there is another candidate industry to cosponsor in the Blacksburg area.

3M - Bill Hill, contacted Pete Jacobs who referred Bill to Bill Rolfes as new head of 3M statistics, but no response yet. 3M is in Minneapolis, and U of Minn has a very strong stat dept.

DoD - Bill Hill, Bill contacted Judy Hunter to get Jack Hunter's contact information. Jack will be contacted shortly
