2. Review of 1998 Conference - Ai-Chu Wu

Program updated and available on the WWW (see URL).

Microsoft turned down session, but replaced with JPL.

Advertising conference going well - in AMSTAT News, IMS, SPES Newsletter, local newsgroup;

marketing of conference will continue to be a focus.

Eleven people already signed up for short course.

Prof. Shanthikuman is in charge of contributed paper sessions.

Effort will be made to attract students to the conference.

Student registration will be $50.

3. Review of 1999 Conference - Tim Keyes

Conference set for May 19-21.

Location is GE Corporate R&D.

Plans underway with local caterer and hotels.

Theme: 6-sigma quality, reliability and design

Academic sponsor is RPI and, possibly, Union College

4. Other Business

For deposits to current year Q&P conference fund, give Jeff 2 weeks to transfer the money.
