Selected meetings and workshop opportunities:

• International Conference on Health Policy Statistics: The biennial conference of the Health Policy Statistics Section of the ASA will include invited sessions workshops. The 7th edition of this conference will be held January 17-18, 2008 in Philadelphia at the Doubletree Suites hotel. The conference will be for 2 days, Thursday and Friday, allowing participants to use the weekend to arrange post-conference meetings with colleagues and to explore Philadelphia. • 2008 Joint Statistical Meetings JSM (the Joint Statistical Meetings) is the largest gathering of statisticians held in North America. It is held jointly with the American Statistical Association, the International Biometric Society (ENAR and WNAR), the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, and the Statistical Society of Canada. Attended by over 5000 people, activities of the meeting include oral presentations, panel sessions, poster presentations, continuing education courses, exhibit hall (with state-of-the-art statistical products and opportunities), career placement service, society and section business meetings, committee meetings, social activities, and networking opportunities. Denver is the host city for JSM 2008 and offers a wide range of possibilities for sharing time with friends and colleagues.   The 2008 Joint Statistical Meetings will be held August 3-7, 2008 at the Denver Convention Center. The HPSS will sponsoring several events at JSM2008, including invited sessions, luncheons and student awards.
   

• Cyber Seminars in Health Services Research Methods: Sponsored by AcademyHealth. The Cyber Seminars utilize web-based conferencing technology, with audio delivered either through audio streaming or the telephone.
   
• ASA Dateline: Meetings and workshops in statistics - a searchable version of the Amstat News Calendar.
   
• 2008 ENAR 2008 Spring Meeting of the Eastern North American Region (ENAR) of the International Biometric Society (IBS) will be March 16-19, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia, a suburb of Washington, D.C.
