NOMINATIONS INVITED FOR DISTINGUISHED ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
The Section on Statistics and the Environment (ENVR) enlists your help inthe nomination of new awardees. Only those who have been nominated in 1998will be considered for the 1998 award. Self nominations are appropriate.Criteria for receiving an award are:
- Distinguished contributions to environmental statistics.
- Membership in ENVR at least three years prior to June 1, 1998.
- Not already an awardee from a previous year.
For the 1998 competition, the nomination materials should consist ofan original and three(3) copies of:- A nomination letter featuring the nominee's contributions in environmental statistics.
- A brief CV, not exceeding 5 pages.
- Supporting letters, up to three.
A committee appointed by the Chair of ENVR will make the selection andsuccessful nominees will receive their award at the ENVR Business Meetingand Reception at the Joint Statistical Meetings in Dallas, August, 1998. - The nomination must arrive on or before March 16, 1998, sent to:
